Mead Hall Lower School Director

 Kindergarten/Lower School Director Location: Mead Hall Episcopal School - St. Thaddeus Campus 129 Pendleton Street, SW Aiken, SC 29801 Located in downtown Aiken, Mead Hall Episcopal School is the parish day school of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Mead Hall’s two campuses serve as a pillar in the educational community of the CSRA by challenging students to pursue academic excellence, spiritual growth, and moral integrity. The St. Thaddeus Campus has an enrollment of 175 students in 3K through fourth grade. Job Description: The K/LS Director reports to the Head of School. The K/LS Director implements the overall direction of instruction established by the Head of School and Dean of Academics. The Director effectively leads the faculty, students, and parents through the Lower School experience in accordance with the school’s mission. The Lower School Director, working closely with the Head of School, oversees the daily operations of the K-4 program, supervising the K-4 academic personnel and support staff at the St. Thaddeus Campus. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: ● Minimum of 5 years experience in a lead teaching position in a kindergarten through elementary school setting ● Bachelor’s degree ● Successful Leadership experience ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to nurture a sense of community In addition to the above required qualifications, desired qualifications include: ● 5-10 years teaching experience and/or administrative experience ● Master’s degree in Education or Educational Administration ● Demonstrated success working with teachers and/or administrators in a leadership and professional development capacity.
